About Asia Pacific Aqua Marine, Inc.
Asia Pacific Aqua Marine, Inc. (APAMI) was established in February 22, 2002 with the principal objective of the harnessing the region’s abundant deep sea and aquaculture fish products and processing of the same into high quality food to suit the diverse tastes of both the local and foreign consumer markets.
This object was realized primarily due to the able support of the company’s existing allied businesses of ice manufacture and fuel supply for the fishing industry in the region. After the finalization of the research and development on canned fish products, the company established a processing complex in Panitan, Capiz.
The rehabilitated plant is geared to house the envisioned manufacture of APAMI’s prime quality canned sardines and milkfish (bangus) under the brands of APAMI Sardines and Capitan Del Mar. The plant was commissioned on December 2007 and commercial production begun by January 2008.
With the country’s strengthening economy and global acceptance of Philippine canned fish products, APAMI aims to mature into a major supplier of high quality canned fish products in the near future; to help improve the socio-economic condition of the province of Capiz, its neighboring provinces and the whole Western Visayas region by providing employment to its workforce; and to act as catalyst for growth of the fishing and aquaculture industries.
